A Healthy Mind? That’s a Laugh

Why did the chicken cross the road?

Maybe it was to be healthier, happier, and wiser.

Busy, Busy, Busy
We all have busy days. Well, everyone except Susan. Slacker.

The rest of us stay busy. There are so many things going on. There is so much to do. In order to stay on top of things, we have to stay serious. Hard work and focus lead to long term health and happiness, right?

It’s true. Hard work, determination, and persistence lead to success. But to think that a) success alone is enough and b) there aren’t any other traits to a fulfilling life would be shortsighted at best.

It’s true: life keeps us busy. It keeps us working hard. It keeps us challenged. These are all good, but sometimes we just need to laugh it all off.

The Best Medicine
Laughter really is great medicine. It has a wide variety of benefits including:
Stress relief
Improved immunity
Pain relief
Improved life satisfaction
Improved mood

And with a better outlook on life and less stress, we tend to think more clearly, be more productive, and feel better. There is a great deal of benefit to laughter, just like there is to having fun.

Take Your Medicine
Why not add a little humor in your life today? Find a comic strip or online humor site. Grab lunch with friends and share funny stories. Go out and see a comedy.

And find ways to laugh at the general humor life brings. Be ready to laugh at the things that normally drive you nuts. It’s not always easy, I know. But it’s healthy.

Why not laugh just to laugh? It will make your day brighter, your mind sharper, and add hope to your outlook.
