It’s been half the year (almost), and it’s time to take inventory.
A Positive View
Regardless of what bad things might have happened this year or which things might have gone your way, there are a lot of things to be thankful for.
There’s sunshine and people and smiles and air to breathe. There’s kindness and hope and joy and compassion. There’s great things to read, wonderful things to see, and amazing things to learn.
A Great Accomplishment
At this point, I hope you’ve accomplished a lot of your goals for the year. If you have, good for you! If you haven’t, here’s a primer on how to make things happen.
It’s time to take stock and see what you want out of this year and what you’ve accomplished. Are things lining up? If not, make an adjustment. Make this year the year you want it to be.
A Simple Blessing
Now let me take a second to share with you a truth: this is a great position to be in. For regardless of whether you have accomplished what you wanted to or not, there is a blessing to be had.
If you accomplished what you wanted to, congratulations! You are on track!
If you have not met your expectations, congratulations! You now have the opportunity to make the rest of this year better than the first!
That’s the great thing about perspective: so much of life is how you look at it.
So enjoy the year. Make it the best you can. It doesn’t matter where you came from. It only matters where you’re going.
