Better than Holiday Cookies

What’s better than holiday cookies? Something much sweeter.

No Baking Required

better than holiday cookies

I love cookies! Don’t we all? My favorites are the ones made by Just Cookie Dough. They are fantastic and something that works with my eating plan (i.e. I plan to eat them). In fact, the dough is made to eat raw. Delicious!

But there’s something much better than cookies this holiday season. I know what you’re thinking: this is the cheesy part where I say “family” or “relationships” or “enjoying the season”. Actually, this is the part where I ask you a few questions:

If you had all the best cookies and cookie dough in the world but never interacted with other people, how much would you enjoy it all? If instead you didn’t have cookies, but you were able to laugh and have fun with people who understood you, helped you, and encouraged you how much would you enjoy that?

Better than Holiday Cookies

The thing is there is something much better than holiday cookies and that’s family and relationships and enjoying the season. (Sorry… I just had to do that).

The thing that’s the best part about holiday cookies is enjoying them with someone. It doesn’t even have to be someone you know. It could be someone in need who you greet with a smile at a soup kitchen as you serve food. It could be someone you give cookies to as part of a charitable food delivery route. It could be sick children in the hospital who can’t get out for the holidays.

It could be like the volunteer who spends time with babies in the ICU twice a week.

He may not be able to share cookies, but I think you will agree this is better than holiday cookies.

Share Some Cookies

We all love cookies. So maybe the thing to do this holiday season is to find someone to share some holiday cookies with. Find someone in need of some cheer. Spend a few minutes with someone who could really use a little holiday pick me up. By this simple act of kindness, you can be responsible for more smiles, more happiness, and more joy this year.

Isn’t that better than holiday cookies?
