If you’re not happy with how things look I have good news for you: you are in charge of changing your world.
The Right Perspective
A lot of people are unhappy with how the world works for them. Some of it seems justified and some of it doesn’t. How do you know if you are on the right side? It’s simply a matter of having the right perspective.
Is your view about equality or is it about being able to do whatever you want regardless? Does it focus on how you can improve the world of everyone or just your own world? Does it focus on justice for all or on removing inconveniences for you?
Changing your world requires the right perspective. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” If you are on the wrong side of justice, your changes won’t last, but here are some ways for changing your world that will have a long-term impact.
Making an Impact
You can change your world by making sure that your perspective aligns with justice and equality. Then you can make an impact by putting effort into justice and equality.
You can find big ways to change your world by dedicating your life and your career to fighting for the downtrodden, standing up for the oppressed, and helping those in need.
But you can also find small ways to change your world by speaking up for good, donating a few hours on a weekend to help others, or donating to worthy causes. Remember it’s the raindrops that become a mighty flood.
A Lifelong Pursuit
The beautiful thing about changing your world is that it isn’t something you have to take off a year of work to do. Sure, if that’s where your heart is, that may be the right choice for you.
But change is about something that happens to us internally. It first changes who we are, then we can change things around us. It becomes a lifelong pursuit where we focus on helping others, fighting for justice, and standing up for what’s right. It’s something that’s done daily in choices we make, causes we support, and voices we amplify.
Make an impact on your world today. Fight for justice, hope, and equality. Be someone who shows moral courage each day. Change your world.
