Don’t Forget to Have Fun!

You’ve heard about preaching to the choir? Well I’m preaching to the preacher.

A Time for Work
If you are reading this, you are what’s called a specific demographic. That means you are the target audience: you want what this site offers – specifically encouragement and motivation to be your best self and find success, whatever that means for you.

As such, you are driven to some degree. You don’t want to just sit on the couch and veg; you want to live somewhere between simply improving yourself and living an abundant life full of success.

This requires work. This requires you to get up and do something. It requires effort. If you follow the principles of Wowful Living, you should be enjoying the work, but it still requires discipline.

Unfortunately, if you’re like me, sometimes you can over do it.

A Time for Play
So, don’t forget to have fun. This may come naturally to you. If that’s the case, stop reading this, go outside and have some fun!

Having fun may not come easy to some of you. Sometimes work gets so demanding that you are constantly working. It may be fun, and you are hopefully passionate about it, but you still need to get out and enjoy yourself outside of work.

Get up and walk around for a minute or two each hour. Take a break every few hours and just enjoy the sunshine or a nice cup of coffee or tea. Find time each day to take a decent break of 30 minutes or more. Make sure you have a set quitting time where you completely stop working and start something enjoyable for yourself.

Make sure you find special time on weekends to enjoy yourself. Even if you work to keep streaks going, find ways to make the weekend enjoyable and different. Get out. Have fun. Try something new. Take chances. Do you have something you’ve always wanted to try? This is the time to jump in.

Get away. Go on vacation. Plan a trip on your next holiday. Enjoy life.

It may take a lot of work to get to where you want to be, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it and have fun. It’s your life. Make the most of it.
