If you want to have a life that’s not only successful, but meaningful and exciting, find people that inspire you.
Here are three simple ways to find and keep inspiring people in your life.
Look for Inspirational People
It’s said that you earn as much as the average of your five closest friends. Money aside, success has a lot to do with who you surround yourself with and how inspired you are.
If you want to find people that inspire you, the first thing you need to do is look for them. Sure, they might show up on your doorstep, but if you find some easily, why not increase the number of inspirational people you have in your life by actively looking for them.
If you want to find inspirational people, find out where they meet. Look for gatherings that include the type of people you want to meet. Join clubs that revolve around the interests you have. Connect with people on social media you find inspiring and encouraging.
Take the time to make the the connections you want to make, then keep them.
Nurture Your Relationships
Once you find people that inspire you, make sure to nurture those relationships. Engage with them on a regular basis, whether it’s weekly, monthly, or some other interval.
Pay attention when they talk to you. Listen to what they have to say. Show interest in what’s going on in their lives, and show them that they matter.
It’s not hard to nurture a relationship; just treat the other person with the same respect and interest that you would want shown to you.
Inspire Them
When you find people that inspire you, not only do you want to nurture those relationships, but you want to do some inspiration of your own. If you are attracted to them because of the inspiration they give you, then give it back. Whatever you see in them that draws you to them, give that same thing back to them.
The best part of finding people that inspire you is the fact that both of you can now add more inspiration in the world and hopefully inspire others. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone was inspired to make it better. Now, go out and do your part.
