Share a Random Act of Kindness

share a random act of kindness

As you go about your day today, why not find a way to share a random act of kindness or two? Here are some ideas.

Do Something Nice for a Server

There are all kinds of people who help us every day. Whether it’s the person who checks us out at the store, or the greeter at the hardware store who shows us where we can find the right washer for the sink we’re trying to fix, or the rookie waiter who’s bringing our food at our favorite restaurant. We interact with so many people every day and we have so many opportunities to share a random act of kindness.

It wouldn’t take much to simply smile and give a compliment such as “thanks for helping me out today” or “you saved me a ton of time; thank you” or “thanks for keeping my water topped off”. It doesn’t take much to make our world a little brighter.

Do Something Nice for a Neighbor

You can also do something special for your neighbor and share a random act of kindness. There are so many opportunities.

There is a neighbor that will occasionally come and clear the snow off my driveway. I don’t know who it is, but it makes my day when it happens.

You can bake cookies and give them to a neighbor just because. You can return a mower you borrowed all cleaned and shined and polished. You can drop a card in the mail just to say how much you appreciate them. There are so many options.

Do Something Nice for a Friend

And you can share a random act of kindness with a friend or coworker. Be sure to tell them you appreciate them. If they do something special for you, acknowledge it and follow it up with what a good friend they are. Invite them to lunch on you.

There are such a wide variety of ways to share a random act of kindness. Why not try one everyday?
