You’re pretty amazing, did you know that?
It’s True!
If you’re like the rest of us, you may not believe me when I tell you that you’re pretty amazing, but you are! Think of all you can do.
You can learn a new language. It’s as easy as taking a class or listening to an audio course. You can learn a new instrument. Your local music store or online retailer will have instruments cheap if you don’t have one, and you can find music online for free. That’s pretty cool and gives you all kinds of options. You can start learning today if you haven’t already.
How do I know? Because you’re pretty amazing. More than likely you finished 12 years of school. 12. Years. That’s a lot. Think about all the tests, homework, art, etc. If you only did one page of activities or homework or essays, a day thats over 2,000 items you’ve completed. 2,000! You’re pretty amazing!
And if you’re average, you walk 2 miles a day (about 5,000 steps). That means in the last ten years you’ve walked enough to get from one American coast to the other and back again. Wow! You’re pretty amazing!
Celebrate!
We often look at our day and think we didn’t start a billion dollar company or make a million dollar sale or any other ridiculous measure. We often think less of ourselves because we don’t see measurable change in one day.
But when we add it all up, we find out just how amazing you are! How many different tests have you passed in life? Way too many to count. How many people have you made laugh or feel good about themselves? Most likely way more than you realize! How many people have you helped by buying a lunch or giving to charity or volunteering or even just doing your job? Odds are it’s a much, much bigger number than you realize.
You’re a lot to celebrate! You are amazing! Why not take some time today to celebrate who you are? Why not step away from work for a few minutes and take a nice walk because you deserve it. Then you can come back and be ready to do even more amazing things.
Treat yourself to a nice lunch. Pat yourself on the back, or find another amazing person and pat them on the back. See – you thought encouraging someone else was a great idea. You are amazing!
Why not celebrate just how amazing you are?
