You’re Awesome! Here’s Proof.

You’re awesome

Did you know you’re awesome? It’s true. You’re pretty incredible. If you don’t realize that, you may not just be taking an honest look.

Look at You

You are an amazing package of brain cells, neurons, muscles, bones, and various other bits. You can do amazing things. And you already have.

For instance, think of how many years it took you to learn how to distinguish letters, understand how they work together, piece together words, and decipher their meaning. Now you can read this (or have it read to you) and comprehend it instantly. That’s amazing!

And it’s not just comprehending words, but understanding complex situations, interactions, and problems. There is no animal or computer on earth that can do what you do, and that’s just your brain. Think about how much you are capable of. It’s absolutely astounding.

How You Use It

Here’s the thing: we often look at our failures and say what we can’t do, but even our baseline of what we can do is absolutely amazing. Just the fact that we can read, reason, use tools and more makes our potential vast and wonderful.

Think about the amazing art, structures, communities, and technologies humans have the ability to create. We all have amazing abilities that are currently untapped. So many successful people didn’t start their journey until well into their later adult years. All it takes is a little investment of time each day (or as we say on Zombie Goals: some easy, streaking fun), and we can change our world for the better.

You’re awesome. That’s all there is to it. You’ve already accomplished a ton, and you haven’t even scratched the surface.

You’re Awesome

Take a second to let it soak in. Think about the incredible things you’ve already accomplished. If you need help, think about these things.

Sure, we are all imperfect. We all need to do better, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ve accomplished a lot, and you can accomplish a lot more.

Today’s a wonderful day to enjoy something positive: you. Reflect on the wonder of who you truly are, and accept the truth: you’re awesome. Own it.
